Romain Froquet is a French artist, born in 1982. The artist lives and works in Paris. A self-taught artist, his artistic career began in 2000.
He is inspired by ethnic and urban art. There are many references in his work, such as Pollock or De Kooning.
He has his style filled with lots of references and stories. At crossroads with movement and strokes, Romain Froquet‘s work is naturally the line. The line is the most important aspect in his work.
Also, an aspect in his works inspiration comes from the roads construction and the mega structures that we can find in the USA. From a sky view, the lines are transcript in his canvases. Starting from that idea, we get a whole new abstract painting that brings us in another world and an open mind to others cultures as Romain always work with abroad newspaper, fabrics or material that represents a country.
