Mat’U, born in 1985, is a French artist that lives and works around the world with a studio in France. Mat’U grew up mainly in Asia and especially in Hong Kong. This is where his love of traveling comes from. He has also a passion for the sea and loves yachting.
Mat’U has develop a technic by using stencils and the spray bomb. He cuts all the stencil and then sprays all over to create his art with a colorful touch. His works are mainly based on people faces he met or remembers everyday scenes that he thinks are interesting to recreate. Mat’U’s art has been inspired by stencils artists such has Banksy, Blek Le Rat, Jef Aérosol and C215.
His art can be seen in the streets of Hong Kong and cities around France.
